Principles with Promise: Study Companion for the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Chirst catalogs gospel principles found in the Book of Mormon. It is another in a series of volumes that began as the answer to a simple question, “What are the commandments that I might keep them?” matured into this lifelong labor of love. 

As mentioned in the original compilation of Principles with Promise, collectively, these principles seem to have a natural organization or order, and though each principle is independently declared at times, they are all interrelated in some way.  I have often described that order as being analogous to a rainbow with its many colors blending one into another – only this rainbow begins with a white light emanating outward from the center to the magnificent colors representing the principles that govern our world and our relationships with God, our fellowman, ourselves, our governments, the building of God’s kingdom, and the priesthood. 

The Principles with Promise series has captured many principles cataloged under hundreds of key words, however, this compilation is strictly a list of the principles found in the Book of Mormon.  Because of the significance of the following scripture from the Old Testament and its relavence to the Book of Mormon, it is included in this compilation. 

“Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.” Ezek. 37:16-17

So here it is, a new kind of concordance to help you navigate your own sweet journey through the Book of Mormon to understand the principles recorded by the ancient prophets on the American continent.  These principles represent the laws that govern life – God given principles that are unchanging, universal and eternal.  It is my own personal experience that each opportunity taken to review, study or search these principles is another step towards learning, and more especially knowing for yourself what portion of them belongs to you.
